We´re Just Fine

To anyone who´s following the situation in Honduras right now and may be concerned for Emily and I, we want to say that we´re doing just fine. As all of our work activities are indefinitely on hold we find ourselves eating more, gardening more, reading more, chatting more, and like anyone who´s following the situation, waiting for more news. Our personal recommnedation for reliable news surrounding this event would thus far be the BBC at bbc.co.uk All the best, and once we know anything more definitive about what the outcome of this situation is we may present our own objective synposis here.

Happy 5th of July Dan and Emily!!! We thought of you as we celebrated our great Independence here in the ol' US of A :) Glad to hear that you are safe and sound for the time being. May that continue as our hope for the "unrest" settles!
We celebrated the big day down on the sunny deck at the beach house. Collen, Bob, Shannon, Erik, Keely, Stella, baby Landon, Tom, Chels and I enjoyed the much "toned down" fireworks on the beach and made smores at the fire pit (loady bowl) in the front yard. The weather took a sudden turn today and it has been windy, cold and raining which just affords us more time for reading and doing crossword puzzles :) Ryan came down for the day just before the Donnellys left, so he got a chance to visit with them. He and Chelsea headed home with "Pizza A'Feta" for the drive (yum yum) and made it back safely around 9:00 P.M. Tom leaves tomorrow, but I get to stay through the week. He and the kids + Fullmer sibs went camping for 3 days east of Prineville in the Ochoco Mtns. They had a blast and caught plenty of trout to keep them all happy :) I also went camping in the Ochocos with my friend Lorraine on another kind of adventure. We were volunteers for the USFS Dept. Our goal was to ride out and take an inventory of the wild mustangs in the area. What an incredible experience! We counted 14 on day one, 2 on day two, and 6 on day three. What a thrill to see these magnificent animals on their own turf in the wild. We felt honored to be part of the efforts to restore them and their habitats. It's quite an unnerving and ongoing battle between the cattle ranchers and the ATVs who are invading their free range spaces. It's a part of this country's history that we hope to preserve by our inventory stats.
That's all the news from Fullmerland. Blessings of safety and peace to you in the days ahead!
Love and hugs,
Uncle Tom and Aunt Mo
